Meet Margaret Banks
In 2007, Margaret Banks walked into her local pound and learned that a small, frightened dog was about to be put down — not for anything he'd done, but simply because no one had come for him. She couldn't accept it. So she did something extraordinary: she took him home herself. From that single act of compassion, Tiny Paws Dog Rescue was born.
In the years since, Margaret has given these dogs everything she has. She's covered the cost out of her own pocket — every vaccination, every spay and neuter, every vet bill and full food bowl — for the small-breed dogs who had run out of time and nowhere left to go. And as more frightened, abandoned dogs arrived, she opened up her home to them, building a network of foster families that turned ordinary living rooms into places of warmth and safety. No dog was ever turned away. No dog was ever just a number to her.
Margaret's love has saved thousands of small dogs, and it has never asked for anything in return. There's no government funding behind any of it — only donations, and the people who refuse to let these dogs slip through the cracks. When you give to Tiny Paws Dog Rescue, you carry that same kindness forward, and you make sure that no dog who needs us is ever turned away.
